Drumbeat Darling Clementine

Tina has been finding, flushing and retrieving birds almost from the time we got her at 9 1/2 weeks.  She has tremendous bird desire, an exceptional nose, very accurate marking and a great pick-up. Her enthusiasm and speed in retrieving *might* rival that of our Yankee-boy Spencer when she grows up. Tina is very smart, not to mention a quick learner. She is also a calm, content "fireside" dog in the house.

We love her  spirit! Best of all, we love her attitude and personality - she loves everyone, canine or human, and has a willingness to please that's truly a joy! Our only complaint is that she kisses us a little too much! In fact in one Puppy Stakes, she did jump up and give the judge a peck after delivering the bird---wouldn't you call that "kissing up?"

This talented pup came to us in February 1999 from Jason and Michelle Givens' Lighthouse Kennels in Wisconsin. She was actually purchased over the Internet because we read about the planned breeding on the Lighthouse website, inquired about it via e-mail, and bought her almost sight unseen. However she had to be delivered by airplane (they haven't figured how to digitize and send a pup over wires).

Tina accumulated 13 puppy points in 2000 in a competitive Western season where a half dozen of her competitors progressed to All-Age in the Fall, placed and some even competed in the National Open.  Tina had one win amongst those points, but she is always a winner in our hearts.  We are also proud that Tina's littermate, Lighthouse Reverence --"Rev" was the High Point Puppy in the entire nation in 2000!

Tina started All-Age in 2001, finishing 2 (*almost* 3) amateur stakes.    We were only able to enter her in one trial in Spring 2002.

Tina's half-siblings, out of mother "Fete" are doing well, with three of them earning Certificates of Merit at the 2001 Nationals:  "Dani" (by Skates) at the Open National and  "Alex" (by Parker) and "Chips" (by Skates) at the Amateur National.
