More About Dina

Drumbeat Diamond Marquise

Dina was the last puppy born from Dyna's litter by Max in  2004.  We were hoping for one more female in the litter and we got one.  Her blaze instantly distinguished her from the previous two females born, and made her face the one most resembling Dyna.  She also had some of Dyna's mannerisms, so we kept our eye on her and kept co-ownership with Justina Severni.  Dina grew up on the farm in CT, with plenty of room to run -- something she loves to do with her long legs.  She has a fast and stylish movement, and natural biddability.  Her marking is strong and mouth gentle.  She  has a great nose from both sides of her pedigree, too.  First and foremost, Dina is very sweet and a first-rate cuddler, too, so calm and happy to sit in your lap.   Her second favorite activity is carrying something around, like a big red rubber bone, when a bird is not available. Although she has a special fondness for the male humans in her life, she relates well to women, too.  Something in her pretty eyes tells you she is a dog with a kind heart open to everyone.

While she does not have the power we like for a female that will be field-trialed, Dina carries the genes from a mother who had that in spades. She IS a hunting companion with the pedigree and lives-to-please temperament that makes a quality breeding animal.  Not to mention well-put together conformation,  great health and seemingly endless stamina for running.

Dina is about 34 pounds, with a lean build and long legs, short-coupled.  In short, she is built for speed and can keep up with her much-larger kennelmate Butchy in the field.  Her straight, silky coat is a beautiful glossy dark liver and white, of low-maintenance density.

CERF Clear at 8 weeks and October 2006, Dina is also PFK Normal by inheritance, and OFA-Good.
